Clara Crocodile needs to find a new home, but the Top End in the Northern Territory of Australia is over run with Crocodiles! Clara learns about Mparntwe, Alice Springs, a place in the middle of Australia that has no crocodiles but so many pools! Follow Clara on her adventure as she travels from the Tropics to the Desert!
Clara Crocodile is a multi-genre kids album for the whole family! It was recorded in Mparntwe, Alice Springs at Red House Recording Studio, just down the road from Sally’s childhood home. It hosts a plethora of talented NT artists and will make you want to visit this beautiful part of the world.

Clara Crocodile Live!​
For the first time ever, the songs from Clara Crocodile will be performed live on stage. Featuring a live band, Clara puppet and vibrant animated visuals, this lively and unique Territory show invites young audiences to experience storytelling through sound, movement, and play.

Clara Crocodile is a unique NT story developed by singer/songwriter Sally Balfour. It all began in 2015 when Sally Balfour found herself cradling her first born, living in a fog of sleep deprivation, in a yellow brick house, in the northern suburbs of Darwin. It was through this fog that the story of Clara Crocodile began to take shape.

Sally wanted to write a children’s album that followed a storyline and took listeners on a journey. Her aim was to create music that parents and kids could enjoy listening to together, similar to the albums she grew up listening to like, Ted Egan’s ‘Urapunga Frog’ or John Williamson’s ‘JW Family Album’…
